I research, frame problems, deliver insights, and frequently get my hands dirty, and build imagined ideas, 0→1 concepts, a strategy pivot, or a GTM plan.
I'm drawn to the creative process, art and culture, decentralised finance, and the intersection of algorithms, credit, and energy.

I've built algorithms for space missions, predicted real-time energy market shifts, and architected DeFi infrastructure managing over $1.5B in liquidity. Now I turn ambiguity into action—researching markets, art, and culture at their most interesting intersections.

The core idea is simple: take a picture of a poster, and suddenly the whole city becomes searchable.
LocalPulse is a personal project born from a problem I experienced firsthand: discovering local events in cities. I noticed something fascinating—the most compelling events (jazz nights, art exhibitions, poetry readings, community gatherings) were physically visible on cafe walls and community boards throughout the city, yet impossible to discover digitally.

There’s events just waiting to be discovered! And I want to index them all.
I watched people stop and study these posters, captivated by what they found. So I asked them a simple question: how would you find this poster again unless you happened to walk past it? The answer was always the same—they wouldn't. There was no centralised repository of local context.
That's what I'm changing. The platform transforms these scattered posters into a centralised, digitally searchable database—making the whole city discoverable with a single photo.

I turn complexity into clarity by ****diving headfirst into ambiguous problems and emerging with actionable solutions. Whether I'm leading or executing, I build deep intuition by doing, which makes me versatile across technical and strategic domains—from business development to developer relations to cross-functional leadership.

I pioneered Vyper's first fundraising gauge—designing the smart contracts and mobilizing DAO governance to fund critical infrastructure: https://gov.curve.finance/t/proposal-to-fund-vyper-development-via-a-new-fundraising-gauge/2726
Curve remains my first love. I continue advising on strategy and brand, ****like this Curve News Strategy that aims to strengthened market positioning.

Lido | Strategist (2025)
At Lido, I conducted deep research and evaluated emerging DeFi apps to identify high‑leverage opportunities for collaboration and technological integration. I also assessed strategic partnerships across both decentralised finance (DeFi) and traditional finance (TradFi) to expand Lido's ecosystem, distribution, and influence.
Because this work is ongoing and largely proprietary, many of the most impactful contributions involve active partnership discussions and protocol‑level changes that cannot yet be shared publicly. Some public works are shown below:

Curve Finance | Core Contributor (Smart Contract & Product Development) (2022 - 2025)
As a core contributor at Curve Finance, I led the design and development of the protocol's permissionless market‑creation tool, which is widely regarded as a best‑in‑class product. I built a permissionless deployment infrastructure that allows anyone to deploy a full platform instance on any blockchain in under five minutes. This has helped Curve increase its platform presence frictionlessly.
I spearheaded optimising of Curve's core algorithms, reducing costs by approximately 70% through novel developer tooling and contributions to the underlying compiler.

I was instrumental in navigating a critical blackhat attack by participating in war rooms and executing recovery plans to secure the protocol I built.

Navigating the crisis was just the beginning. I redesigned the protocol's core smart contracts from the ground up, implementing enhanced security measures and optimised architecture. Today, these contracts hold significant amounts of liquidity, and our users trust the protocol more than ever. The journey from crisis response to long-term rebuilding taught me resilience and the importance of earning back trust through action.

Beyond protocol design, I contributed to internal processes such as hiring, risk outlook, and protocol strategy. Some of the successful hires went on to significantly and positively change Curve's interfaces, improve documentation, and spin up well‑received newsletters.
I was also involved in several business‑level discussions that were crucial for Curve. These conversations led to key protocol improvements and collaborations—for example, Curve becoming the first protocol‑level partner with Plasma.
Some notable contributions during tenure at Curve:
LlamaRisk | Risk Analyst & Advisor (2021 - 2022)
I was hired as the first risk analyst for LlamaRisk (then called Cryptorisks).
The opportunity came after an unusual situation: someone had exploited a protocol's incentive system. I helped trace what happened. https://gov.curve.finance/t/the-curve-emergency-dao-has-killed-the-usdm-gauge/2307 This led to the creation of the protocol's first https://gov.curve.finance/t/discussion-gauge-risk-assessment-team/2354, which eventually became what LlamaRisk is today: https://llamarisk.com/
From a cohort of candidates, I was chosen because I'd spent time studying protocols closely and publicly sharing what I learned ‣. LlamaRisk saw potential in that approach and brought me on as their first analyst.
I pioneered qualitative risk analysis at LlamaRisk, publishing influential reports on prominent DeFi protocols and identifying systemic risks in the Terra ecosystem ahead of its collapse.

I hold a PhD in the topic of Remote Sensing of the Earth's Atmosphere, its Chemistry & Physics from TU Delft and the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI).
As a Level-2 algorithm developer for the European Space Agency (ESA), I developed novel deep neural network algorithms for the TROPOMI/S5P space mission that are currently in production for weather and climate modelling.
I earned an MSc in Applied Earth Sciences from TU Delft, where I focused on building novel algorithms to measure ice sheets from satellite instruments.
